The aim of this website is to help rapidly orientate new staff who find themselves working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for the first time, and to provide a quick reference guide for problems that may be encountered. This should be used to complement your understanding, but not replace any local policies or protocols that your ICU may have.
This website is not pitched at people looking for a comprehensive guide to critical care, however some of the attached links do explore subjects at some depth. Content will continue to be updated and expanded over time.
